About Model Management Advisors
Our Mission
We provide advisory services to create or enhance your program for managing quantitative models, including AI. We help institutions, large and small, to write model management policies, build out processes for independent review and model risk assessment, properly manage third party models, and create reporting to keep your risk committees and board informed about your models. We also provide expert opinions and due diligence on existing statistical and AI models used by financial institutions.
Elizabeth Mays Ph.D., Founder and Principal Advisor
Elizabeth has over thirty years experience in the public and private sectors of the financial services industry. She has run model development organizations at both Citi and JPM Chase, and served for thirteen years as EVP and Chief Model Risk Officer at PNC Financial Services.
AT PNC she was responsible for the bank's model risk management program, ensuring policies, controls, and governance processes were in line with regulatory requirements and ensuring sound, transparent use of all models throughout the organization.
As a model development executive she specialized in credit scoring and loss models and is the author of the frequently consulted book "Credit Scoring for Risk Managers: a Handbook for Lenders".
Elizabeth has extensive experience in heavily regulated environments and was a financial institutions regulator herself prior to her entry into the banking sector.
